内容摘要： 宗教信仰与宗教仪式是相辅相成的，形而上的宗教信仰，大都经由一系列充满象征意义的宗教仪式而得以实践与传承。上刀山下火海是傈僳族原始宗教仪式中程序最为繁复，文化意义最为丰富的综合文化事项。运用宗教人类学的理论与方法，从泸水傈僳族上刀山下火海展演场景中仪式过程为考察对象，对解读该仪式的文化象征具有重要意义。

Abstract: Religious beliefs and religious rituals with rich symbolic implications are closely related because the practice and inheritance of the former rely on the latter. The paper adopts the approach of religious anthropology and interprets the rich cultural connotations of the sword - climbing and flame - crossing ritual which is the most complicated one among the primitive religions of the Lisu nationality.
