内容摘要： 文化是民族的重要特征，是民族繁荣发展的动力和源泉。近几十多来，少数民族文化的传承与保护取得了明显成效，但也面临系列问题。文章结合我国西部民族地区民族文化的发展现状，就少数民族文化保护与发展的意义、问题、原因及解决途径等谈一些粗浅看法。

Abstract: Culture is an important feature of a people as well as the drive and spring of ethnic pros- perity and development. In recent decades much progress has been made in the protection and development of minority cultures, yet there still remain some problems. This paper explores the current situation, problems and ways for further development concerned.
