内容摘要： 本文通过对19世纪中期至20世纪中期国外关于中国土族研究的主题、关注点等问题的整理，较为深入地探讨了扑朔迷离的土族族源，剖析了土族多元的文化、宗教以及服饰、习俗等。

Abstract: This paper probes into the origin of Tu nationality by researching its themes and concerns about the overseas research on Tu nationality from the middle of 19th century to the middle of 20th century and analyses the pluralistic culture, religion, clothing and custom, etc of Tu nationality.
