内容摘要： 维吾尔族谚语是维吾尔族人民生活的百科全书，反映了维吾尔族人民生活的方方面面。文章以谚语为载体，着重从家庭的感情交流功能、生育功能、抚养和赡养功能、教育功能等角度来考察维吾尔族人的婚姻家庭功能特点，以便我们更加直接而深入地了解“家庭”这个社会组织基本单位在维吾尔族传统文化背景中的作用。

Abstract: The proverb is a kind of cultural carrier a living encyclopedia of the Uygur people. This article studies the characteristics of the Uygur marriage and family in terms of emotional exchanges, production and child-upbringing, support, education and economy as reflected in proverbs in the hope that a better understanding can be reached of the role the family, the basic unit in society, has played in the traditional Uyghur culture.
